SKIPTON’S HIGH CORN MILL ACHIEVES VISITENGLAND QUALITY STANDARD FOR SECOND TIME

andrew-mear-outside-hcmOne of Skipton’s most historic buildings, High Corn Mill, has retained its accreditation as a VisitEngland Quality Assured Visitor Attraction for the second time running.

The prestigious recognition means that the mill has been rigorously assessed by the VisitEngland quality team including; car parking, cleanliness, the website, and the overall maintenance and appearance of the building, to ensure it adheres to a number of strict guidelines set out by the body.

Said Andrew Mear, owner of High Corn Mill: “I am delighted that we’ve been awarded accreditation for a second time. High Corn Mill is a great attraction that can be enjoyed by all the family – hopefully our accreditation from VisitEngland will encourage more people to come along to the mill and Skipton.

“The Waterwheel House, located in the centre of the building, is a must see and shows visitors the inner workings of the giant water wheel and water turbine, as well as discover how it generates power for the building and properties nearby.”
